Find a student-friendly home in Copenhagen
Compare the homes above with your budget, arrival date and teaching address. Student-friendly homes can include rooms, smaller apartments and homes suitable for sharing. They are not necessarily halls of residence or accommodation reserved for enrolled students. Check any eligibility requirements in the individual listing.
Choose an area around your actual campus journey
Copenhagen's educational institutions have several locations. Start with your campus address and compare journeys from areas such as Nørrebro, Amager, Frederiksberg and Valby. Check bicycle routes and changes between metro, train or bus. An area outside your first choice can still work if the journey and total costs fit your routine.
Compare shared and self-contained homes
- For a room in Copenhagen, ask which facilities are shared, what the house rules are and how utilities are paid.
- For an apartment in Copenhagen, compare monthly rent with deposit, prepaid rent and other costs. Danish room counts include living rooms, so check the floor plan for separate bedrooms.
- Before sharing a home, confirm that the layout and landlord's terms allow your arrangement. Agree how to split the actual rent and move-in payment; the advertised total is not automatically a price per person.
Prepare for your arrival
Check the start and end dates of a temporary tenancy against your stay. If you need a furnished home, confirm exactly what is included. For questions about address registration and renting when moving to Denmark, use the City of Copenhagen's renting guide. An English-language listing does not establish whether a particular address meets your registration needs.
Save a search agent with your requirements, or compare all rental homes in Copenhagen. If you want a particular hall of residence, check its own application process and eligibility rules.
