Section 18 consists of 2 previously independent sections, now merged into one section. The homes are all located in the town of Gærum, approx. 7 km west of Frederikshavn. Askevej: Built in 1987 - 11 terraced houses. Heating is provided by electric heating, but solar panels have been installed at all 11 rental homes, and the electricity produced by each home’s solar panel system is expected to be approx. 5,500 kWh annually. The rental home has a wood-burning stove as a supplementary heat source. A maximum of 1 pet is allowed. Please note: all tenants at Askevej receive an electricity subsidy from the section’s own solar-generated electricity. Bakkehusene: Built in 1997/98 - 8 rental homes. Home type: villas. Location: Bakkehusene 21 - 35. Bakkehusene consists of 6 4-room homes (hobby farms) and 2 2-room homes. The hobby farms include a 40 m² stable/barn and approx. one Danish acre of land, which can be used for grazing or cultivation. It is permitted to keep 2 dogs or cats and 2 horses or 40 chickens or 10 geese/ducks or 10 goats/sheep. In the 2-room homes, it is permitted to keep 2 dogs or cats and 10 chickens. Skræddervej and Mosevej: Built in 2000 and 2003 - 14 terraced houses. Location: Skræddervej 27 - 37 and Mosevej 2 - 6. The homes are suitable for older residents. A maximum of 1 pet is allowed. Residents are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the outdoor areas themselves, including some winter gritting.
