The idea behind the development Byhaven VEA’s name comes from the street name Vilhelm Ehlerts Allé, which was named after Viborg’s former city engineer, who was responsible for the city’s first urban plan in 1947. The modern apartments were designed by Sweco Architects and are part of the new, urban residential area in central Viborg. The entire area is characterised by red brick buildings, which are also reflected in Byhaven. In addition, projections in the façades create depth, while sections of patterned brickwork create shadow effects and give the building its distinctive appearance.
