Skippergaarden was built in 1997 with 47 two- and three-room homes, 20 of which are designated as sheltered homes. The development has two laundry rooms, three elevators, an intercom system and a communal antenna system. Some homes have their own terrace or balcony. Byhusene was built in 2003 and consists of 36 homes, 33 of which are located in an apartment building and three of which are detached houses on Garvergade. The apartment building has elevators. Some homes have their own terrace, while others can enjoy the courtyard. The apartment building was designed as a “frame” around a courtyard environment, and a network of paths connects the courtyard with the town square and streets. Most everyday amenities, a grocery store, Nørresundby Square and other specialty shops are just a few minutes’ walk away. In addition, there are plenty of bus connections close to the front door.
