Public Housing at 113 m²

"Tankefuld" is a large-scale, visionary, and super sustainable residential area in Svendborg; only 3 km from the city center. The department consists of 67 homes, distributed over 4 different main types of housing from 83 - 115 m² in both 1 and 2 stories, as well as a community house of 100 m². Where it is practically possible, environmentally friendly materials have been used with a focus on lifecycle and long durability. The homes are positioned to make the most of the sun's path and optimize the use of passive solar heating. All roofs feature either green roofs, rooftop gardens, or solar panels. The buildings are constructed according to the low energy class 2015, and also include a wide range of other sustainable initiatives — focusing on plant growth, solar energy, and rainwater collection among houses, among other things. With low energy status and a sustainable approach, exemplary houses have been built, paving the way for energy-efficient and competitive public housing in the future. The homes in Tankefuld are heated with 'air to water heat pumps', which is a good and environmentally friendly alternative to, for instance, oil heating. In the housing department, there are good parking facilities and you'll also find charging stations for electric cars.
