The following terms will apply: If you have a dog, you must have the legally required liability insurance, which covers any damage your dog may cause to other people or their property. If you have a cat, it must be neutered and, as a general rule, kept indoors. Please note that you are responsible for interior maintenance, and as the tenant, you must pay for any damage caused by your pet. The animal must not soil or damage the property. Any soiling of the property must be removed immediately by the animal’s owner/tenant who has permission to keep it. The established rules for keeping pets must be observed at all times. If a justified complaint is made about the pet, this permission will be revoked immediately. In that case, the pet must be removed from the rental property. Permission to keep a pet is granted through a separate addendum to your lease, which will specify exactly which animal (1 only) you are permitted to keep. You may not keep any animals in your apartment that are not listed in the addendum. Your pet must not cause a nuisance or inconvenience to other residents of the property. The owner/tenant who has permission to keep the animal must pay for any damage, including any additional cleaning of stairways or common areas that may be required. These costs are considered mandatory payments; if they are not paid on time, the lease may be terminated. Breaching the established pet rules or house rules will result in a warning and may lead to termination of the lease.
