Here you live in modern and well-appointed homes surrounded by green areas – only a short walk from several larger educational institutions. With just a few minutes' walk to the train station, there is easy connection to the rest of the country. Everyday life becomes extra convenient with a large shopping center and a grocery store nearby. When it's time to put away the study books, you can use the department's own student house with a café, bar, fitness and a community house for events and parties. Birk Campus is for those who want student housing with both life and community – close to everything that makes student life unforgettable! Pets Pets are allowed, including dogs and cats. Snakes and terrarium animals are not allowed. Smaller pets, such as hamsters and cage birds, may be kept if they do not disturb other residents with noise or odour according to the department's house rules. Decisions about pet ownership are made by the department by majority vote. Additional department info The white-painted blocks and the student house with café, community house and fitness make the department attractive to young people, and there is plenty of life and a cozy atmosphere. The most recently built 66 student homes are constructed as passive houses, where energy consumption is greatly reduced through increased insulation and efficient heat recovery. The student housing on Korsørvej also belongs to Birk Campus. They are located close to the centre and approximately 3 km from the nearest larger educational institutions. The department includes a communal laundry, a football pitch and a beach volleyball court. Parking spaces are located close to the homes, and there are bicycle sheds around. A charging station has also been established in the area. Birk Campus houses many types of accommodation on one and two levels with a terrace or French balcony. Some homes have an extractor hood and stove, others two hotplates and a small oven. All homes have a fridge/freezer; some housing types have a large one, others a small one. There is no internet connection in the homes on Korsørvej. In the development, the homes are prepared for cable TV and internet via a provider (optional). For the homes on Korsørvej, there may as a rule be a basic package for the antenna fee. The homes do not have storage rooms, but in two-storey homes there is typically the possibility of storage in the space under the internal staircase. Expenses beyond the rent Electricity, water and heating are charged differently in the department. Antenna fee: The basic package is paid via the rent, while any supplements are paid directly to the provider. The basic package is optional and must be signed up for. Internet and TV solutions vary depending on the address and provider. Basic data The department consists of 323 student homes. In addition, there is a community house that residents can rent.
