Welcome to Department 201 – Mimersgade, Sønderbrogade and others Vacant homes in the department are currently reserved for residents who need to be rehoused in connection with renovations in other departments in the area. The renovations are expected to be completed during the period 2028–2032. Until then, homes in Department 201 will primarily be let as fixed-term tenancies. You can always put your name on the waiting list, but a longer wait for a permanent home in the department should be expected. However, residents of the same department may be given priority for another home in Department 201, as they are vacating their current home at the same time. The homes Bright homes and green outdoor areas The homes in the department have been completely renovated and appear modern and contemporary, while retaining the character of the 1940s. Here you get a modern apartment in a central location in Horsens, with attractive green communal areas. You live close to schools, day-care institutions, educational institutions and shops. The department Attractive city apartments The department consists of 2–4-room family homes ranging from 62–103 m². The homes are bright and predominantly have beech parquet floors. Some stairwells have lifts, and the apartments are adapted for accessibility, including step-free access and spacious bathrooms with the option of installing your own washing machine. Stairwells without lifts have been continuously renovated and have a traditional layout. There are communal function rooms, parking, a bicycle shed and a playground. Each home has a storage room. There is access to a laundry room in each block, with a large communal laundry for Mimersgade 5–7–9–10–12. The local area Very central location You live centrally in Horsens, with day-care institutions and a school right next door. Within 500 metres, you will find several grocery stores as well as the beautiful Bygholm Park. There are several bus stops in the area, and the station is only a seven-minute walk away. From there, the train can take you to Aarhus in 30 minutes. Horsens has several higher education institutions as well as a wide selection of cafés, restaurants and shops. Letting Vacant apartments in Department 201 are only let with a fixed-term tenancy agreement until the renovation of Axelborg begins. A major renovation of all homes in Axelborg is planned in the near future. In connection with this, vacant apartments will be used for rehousing. Practical information Subject to changes Balcony/terrace: Most tenancies have a balcony Lift: There are lifts in the following stairwells: Sønderbrogade 58A, 60A, 60C, 62A, 64A, 66A and 121, Mimersgade 2A, 3C, 4A, 5C, 6A, 7C, 8A, 9C, 10A and 12A, as well as Ægirsgade 6 Communal laundry: Yes Pets: Permission may be requested to keep one dog or one cat Appliances: Cooker in all apartments. However, all completely refurbished homes with lifts have an oven and a drop-in hob. The apartments at Mimersgade 5, 7, 9, 10 and 12 have a refrigerator. All completely refurbished apartments have a refrigerator and dishwasher, as well as the option of installing your own washer-dryer stack. Parking: Parking spaces between the buildings on Mimersgade, as well as a parking area along the road on Sønderbrogade. The department is subject to flexible letting and special letting criteria. 1) Flexible letting in Department 201 – Sønderbro Priority is given when all household members over the age of 18 are self-supporting. The following are considered self-supporting: • Employees without supplementary public support, with no requirement for a minimum number of hours or minimum annual salary • Self-employed persons • Recipients of holiday benefits • Recipients of maternity/paternity benefits • Recipients of sickness benefits for less than eight weeks who are employed • People in flex jobs • Recipients of flex allowance • Early-retirement pensioners • People enrolled in an education programme approved for SU, a vocational education programme with apprentice wages, or STU • People who receive no other public support than SU People over the age of 65 are considered self-supporting. It is a prerequisite that the workplace or place of study is located in Denmark. The person must have started their job or studies, or meet one of the above criteria, at the time the home is allocated. All members of the applicant’s household over the age of 18 must be self-supporting according to the above criteria. This is a condition for being given priority for a home. 2) Special letting criteria for Department 201 – Sønderbro Housing applicants on the waiting list who do not already have a home in the department must be rejected if the applicant and their potential spouse have received integration benefits, educational assistance or cash benefits under the Active Social Policy Act for six consecutive calendar months. This follows a decision made by Horsens City Council on 27 January 2020, because Department 201 Sønderbro is on the list of vulnerable housing areas. Deposit: DKK 1,066.
